Project 4: Magazine Spread

For this assignment, I was tasked with making a multi-page magazine-style spread on Adobe InDesign. I was required to source a 1,000-1,2000 word article that the spread would be based on, collect and credit high-quality images, and design the layout from scratch.

In it, I wanted to explore the Psychology of Fashion, and how clothes shape identity, influence behavior, and drive culture. I was inspired by vintage Vogue magazines and decided to stick to a black and white theme. I chose photos with a lot of movement and texture to maintain that vintage feel. I also played with repeating elements of pink text to create contrast and unity in the design (plus, it reminded me of the brain).
