Project 2: Infographic

JOUR 390: Visual Communications for Mass Media

For the coffee lovers out there…

Culture and media—shaped by today’s generation—are pushing long-established brands to reinvent themselves, and Nespresso is no exception as it works to reach a younger audience and build a stronger digital presence through more iced-coffee-focused content.

For this assignment, I created an infographic illustrating the rise of iced-coffee culture in the U.S. and how it influences Nespresso’s brand economics and consumer behavior. I wanted to explore how much digital marketing ultimately shapes where billions of dollars will flow, and how the future of journalism really depends on adapting, and meeting people where they already are.

I kept the design clean, cohesive, and fresh, using a neutral palette and different shades of coffee to represent each generation. I included a pie chart showing who spends the most on coffee, a map highlighting where in the US the iced-coffee demand is highest, and a bar graph charting its rapid growth over the past decade—all pointing to why Nespresso’s shift toward iced-coffee services aligns with where the market is clearly headed.
