Project 2: Infographic
JOUR 390: Visual Communications for Mass Media
For the coffee lovers out there…
Culture and media—shaped by today’s generation—are pushing long-established brands to reinvent themselves. Nespresso is no exception as it works to reach a younger audience and strengthen its digital presence through more iced-coffee-focused content.
For this assignment, I created an infographic illustrating the rise of iced-coffee culture in the U.S. and how it influences Nespresso’s brand economics and consumer behavior. I wanted to explore how much digital marketing shapes where billions of dollars flow, and how journalism must adapt to meet audiences where they are.
I kept the design clean, cohesive, and fresh, using a neutral palette with varying coffee tones to represent each generation. A pie chart, U.S. map, and bar graph each highlight coffee spending, regional iced-coffee demand, and its growth over the past decade—all reinforcing why Nespresso’s shift toward iced-coffee services reflects where the market is headed.
